On Friday 26th of June 2020, the summary was given to Imran Khan and it was passed by him within short notice of time. A total of 25 rupees and 58 paisas increased on petroleum products, which made the new price of petrol 100 Rs/liter. 21 rupees increased on diesel, on light diesel 17 rupees increased, while 23 rupees increased on the amount of kerosene oil.
According to the initial report the summary was given by Ministry of Petroleum to the Ministry of Finance and later it was carried to PM Imran Khan for the last signature which provided final approval of petrol prices
The scenario is currently visible and exposing the mafias behind petrol Prices Hike, which even leads the state to increase the prices of petrol, it is for the information of our readers that per barrel of crude petrol costs around 39 USD and it contains 159 liters of oil. Moreover, the ex-finance minister Asad Umar before coming into government said that “State can easily sale all petroleum products under 70 Rs and that too after gaining profit from it” but as usual after becoming the part of a government with more than 170+ seats in National Assembly, he couldn’t able to implement even on his statement but rather than this they are falling into the traps of corrupt mafias behind the petrol price hike.
